Assynt Leisure is committed to good governance, transparency and best practice.
Our policies support fair, safe and inclusive working practices and are reviewed regularly by the Board.
Assynt Leisure is committed to advancing the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy and to promoting fair, inclusive and respectful working practices.
We are committed to paying the Real Living Wage to all employees and will continue to do so should we employ staff in the future. Where reasonably practical and appropriate, we also encourage our contractors and suppliers to offer the Real Living Wage when procuring goods or services.
We provide effective worker voice for staff and volunteers through:
Regular staff meetings with line managers and the Board of Directors
Clear organisational and line management structures
Opportunities for staff and volunteers to share views, give feedback, and contribute to shaping the direction of the organisation
We also provide effective one-to-one line management, supporting regular, open and two-way dialogue that is separate from formal performance management processes.
We actively invest in the development of our workforce and volunteers, within our financial capacity. This includes considering training opportunities and welcoming suggestions from staff and volunteers on skills development and learning opportunities.
Assynt Leisure is committed to no inappropriate use of zero-hours contracts. We currently have no zero-hours contracts in place.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and to tackling inequalities, including the gender pay gap. As our organisation grows, we will continue to monitor and address equality, diversity and inclusion across our workforce.
